This is a special project as I designed both Latin and Arabic parts of their custom typeface. It was the beginning of lockdown in 2020 and I thought a challenge would be a good distraction from it all. I usually collaborate with other designers for the latin, and this is only the 2nd Latin I’ve ever designed, so this was a nice change of pace!

The brief was to have a contemporary Arabic typeface with a matching Neo-grotesque for use in mbc’s subscription service. The typeface would be used in a variety of touch points, including TV, web, and social media. Its performance on screen needed to be impeccable!
